The Lumi Studio

Lighting without conventional limits, made possible through Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM) - advanced robotic 3D printing for sculptural forms at architectural scale.

Large-format additive manufacturing opens up a new world of possibility, where form is no longer limited by traditional processes.

At The Lumi Studio, we design and create sculptural lighting and interiors that bring this freedom to life - combining human creativity with robotic precision to shape pieces that are as thoughtful as they are distinctive.

Choose from our in-house collection, or work with us to create something bespoke. With large-format additive manufacturing, we adapt form, scale and detail to suit your space, bringing your ideas to life with precision.

Imagined by Humans.

Meet Aria

Our loyal robot printer, always ready to create.

Aria, our Additive Robotic Intelligent Arm, is a large format LFAM printer, performing as part of a carefully orchestrated whole.

In a kind of mechanical ballet, each piece is built layer by layer with quiet precision, working in harmony with our design and engineering.

Using recycled materials, Aria creates complex, organic forms at a scale traditional manufacturing cannot easily reach, with minimal waste and no tooling.

A more agile and sustainable way of making, where technology and creativity move together seamlessly.

Manufacturing with Earth in Mind

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. A Circular Approach.

We take a considered approach to how things are made. By using recycled and plant-based polymers, we reduce reliance on virgin materials while keeping valuable resources in use for longer.

Each piece is produced through low-waste additive manufacturing, printed to order with minimal excess and no need for tooling or overproduction.

At end of life, materials can be recycled, helping to close the loop and reduce overall environmental impact.

Materials, Responsibly Chosen

We use recycled and plant-based polymers to create durable, low-waste forms, without compromising on quality or finish.

PETG

PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) is a durable, high-performance polymer made using recycled post-consumer waste, helping to divert plastics from landfill and reduce ocean pollution.

It offers excellent strength, clarity and impact resistance, making it well suited to long-lasting, design-led applications.

PLA

PLA (polylactic acid) is a plant-based polymer made from renewable sources such as corn starch or sugarcane.

It offers a lower-impact alternative to traditional plastics, with good strength, surface quality and print precision, and is compostable at end of life under the right conditions.
